ExperText

ExperText (Rada, 1990), ( Rada, 1991A), (Rada, 1992) is a system which combines a hypertext and an expert system. Hypertext systems can include expert system features for incorporating flexibility, formal representations and arbitrary  computations that helping users find relevant information. ExperText employs predicates at nodes and implications on links so the hypertext graph can support inferencing. Procedures can be attached to links and support all kinds of computation. The nodes and links can be viewed as a semantic network. A link attributes a meaning to the pair of nodes it connects. Spreading activation or  analogical inheritance can be used for inferencing. User tailored maps can be generated to help users in navigational access.
